I know you may be looking at these going, wow, these things are pricey but they are worth every penny over the long haul. Spend the most on what you use every day is my motto.

First off the baskets are heavy steel, that stay in there containment period. They do not rattle around or make any noises.I have owned my first set for twenty years without one issue.
Second, there are two models of this that I believe Kohler does not clarify better,the first model has one opener per drain, so two drains equal two openers that is when you turn the handle 180 for open 180 for closed.Which is good if you have an extra hole in the sink mount, but what they don't tell you is that one opener can do two drains with full independent operation. For the latter, the turn handle becomes a 1/4 turn X 4 - 90 degree turns.

My fist set have two handles for two drains, this set does one handle for two drains, leaving an extra hole open for a second soap dispenser. One dish soap, one soft soap, better for the hands.

In all the years I have owned them, they may have gotten clogged up a couple times, but I take the blame for that. They drain very fast and smooth.

Would make an awesome mothers day present, that pays dividends for years.
