My wife picked this light out for our foyer. I was a little hesitant because I wasn't sure how it would look up close. However, it actually looks nice and everyone that comes over comments that they like the light.

The globe portion is suspended by the three wires hanging down. When I first hung it the light bulbs were visible over the top of the globe. However I took it down to see if there was any way to adjust the cables that held it and sure enough there is. It came with that feature already built in I just missed it the first go around. To adjust the hanging height of the globe you just simply pull the cables up through the plate they are suspended from to the height that you want. The cables have a little locking device that prevents them from slipping back down. I would recommend doing this before hanging it as it is something that can easily be done beforehand. We adjusted ours up by about 2 inches and it worked perfectly.

All in all we are pleased with the light and would recommend it.
