This is the first bench dog product I have ever owned, and the quality is excellent. However, after paying high quality prices, I was disappointed that I had to go to the hardware store to purchase bolts that would attach it to my SawStop contractor table saw. They included a bunch of bolts for mounting to various brands of saws, but none to be found for the SawStop, so be aware of that fact. Also, I had to cut off a corner of my fence rail in order to use the miter groove on the bench dog. Just a small thing, but it again demonstrates the fact that this item was not made with the SawStop table saw in mind.
The instructions for mounting the saw were just barely adequate. I guess they assumed if you purchased the product, you are handy enough to install the thing.
My product shipped from Rockler and I had a problem understanding how the plate fit on my router base. Rose at Rockler was super patient with me and they would have readily sent out a new plate, but I was the one with the problem and I finally figured it out. However, Rockler demonstrated SUPERB customer service!!!
Now that the table is installed and I used it for an afternoon, I am in love with it. It puts my free standing Craftsman router table to shame. It is obvious why it is expensive - it is very high quality. I would have given 5 stars easily if it had fit my SawStop table saw without my having to go buy bolts for it and trim my fence!!
