Hydropump DH1800 is a high capacity backup sump pump that is very easy to install. Estimated installation time is 30 minutes! This takes no specialized knowledge or tools. Common household tools are all you need. Pump is mounted above the water line to keep it dry when not in use. Taking up very little space in the sump, it is mounted against the side of the sump above the main pump, using the included stainless steel bracket.

After trying various battery back-up pumps from the local building supply stores, with not much luck, I ordered the Base DH1800.

Installed about a year ago, and when testing, could tell this was much more powerful then any of the other battery pumps I had tried.

Since installing, I never had a problem that required the back-up pump to kick in.
However, this past weekend, hurricane Irene hit us on the east coast pretty bad. We lost power for about 12 hours.

This pump worked great! Not a drop of water on the basement floor. The water was filling up the sump pit pretty fast...the pump cycled on about every 20 seconds. (Was using a AGM deep cycle marine battery) After 12 hours, it was still pumping without a problem.

This pump is well worth the money.
