Would not recommend. First pull on the rope and it did not recoil. I took it off and worked it by hand to no avail then finally oiled it and after a time it did recoil. Put it back on and with fresh gas pulled about 20 times and it would not start. Looked behind the choke lever and it was not making contact with anything. Seller Brand New Engines would not take it back and told me to take it to a local dealer for repairs. I have no way to transport it nor could I lift it so paid someone $55.00 to come out and fix the choke. Throttle cable also had a problem but apparently was a quick fix.I buy new and pay new prices so that I don't incur these types of problems but in that there were 3 separate problems with this I have to say that Snappers quality control is very much lacking and will not by another Snapper product on any kind.
I, since getting it fixed, have used it and have had no further problems but this has not lessoned my bad feelings for the manufacturer or the seller and I have no confidence that it will, down the line, continue to perform as it should. Up date June 3,2013----The Precision Spray Wand has required periodic oiling to enable dialing or selecting the spray head. This requires taking the wand apart. The need for this has increased in frequency. Now even the oiling has no impact and the wand is not usable except on the spray mode it is currently set at
I called snapper customer service and was told by a very rude woman service agent that the wand is not serviceable. I asked to speak to someone else and she did not comply with my request but told me to go buy another wand.
In that this washer was used no more than twice a month an then only for brief periods I do not consider the length of ownership to be a factor in it's reliability. It performed as it should and did what I expected it to do but is apparently poorly designed and or engineered. Couple those with a nasty customer rep and it still adds up to a 2 star rating.
