I was nervous because of the negative reviews regarding assembly and the lack of directions but bought 2 chandeliers anyway. In 3 hours both were hung. This large one and a medium one. Yes the crystals are packaged separately but it's to protect them and no, there are not detailed directions on where to put each one but there are hooks on the fixture to attach them to. The rest is personal preference in my opinion. Put them wherever you prefer. I put this large chandelier in my kitchen and it makes the room. It was dressy without all the crystals but then I added about 3/4 of them and created my own design. Absolutely stunning! Another plus about this chandelier is it says it's 38 " long but it can be longer or shorter depending on your need. There are varying lengths of crystals and it's simple to make them any length you want. It was the most fun I have had in ages, dressing my chandeliers with the crystals. They are stunning! I am picky and almost always disappointed but not this time. P.S. I ordered them on Friday and received them on Tuesday!
