Bio Bidet BB-800 Prestige Warm Water White Elongated Bidet Seat with Turbo Wash Review

We bought this Biobidet BB-800 to replace a bidet we had for years that unfortunately developed a leak (a different make, that is now discontinued in the US). We returned this Biobidet BB-800 after a week.

Here are the problems:
1) These electronic bidets require that they recognize someone is on the seat before they'll let you operate the buttons. For me it was fine, but for my wife about half the time it wouldn't recognize she was on the seat. In those cases none of the buttons would work. That was a show-stopper. I suspect if weight is distributed on the seat in a certain way that its sensor mechanism fails.
2) The spray was too weak. Even if you put it on the highest power it wouldn't clean as well as our older bidet that we were replacing. It has an enema setting but I didn't particularly want to use that. Your choice is too weak or an enema.
3) It wouldn't remember the settings. We'd always put the spray power on the highest setting and also have to adjust the nozzle positions as they weren't in the right place for us by default. But it wouldn't remember this. We'd have to make the same adjustments every time we sat on the seat.

This seat is not sold by Amazon directly. We met initial resistance from the seller about returning it but thankfully they relented when we communicated we'd be filing a claim through Amazon. Good on the seller for coming around, but their initial reaction (paraphrased: "you can't return it, take it up with the manufacturer through their warranty") is a potential headache for anyone wanting to purchase this. I think the seller's initial reluctance was because once we returned it he wouldn't be able to return it to BioBidet (the manufacturer). Indeed BioBidet's website says you can't return their products. Not exactly a vote of confidence in their own products.

In summary: A big disappointment due to poor design choices, and a potentially unfriendly return policy. Don't risk it.

As for Amazon - thought these folks were really responsive and very cooperative and knowledgable of their jobs , kept me up to date on shipping , had answers for all my questions and good / concise answers at that - but for the replacement enginge that was supposedly identical that a different story :

Engine on my Craftsman 27 ton log splitter started using oil so I decided to replace engine with replacement recommended by Sears and also Briggs , was told replacement was identical to what was on splitter but for starters had to thread mounting holes on base of Engine in order to mount to splitter , pull cord is not in same position - 180 degrees out which is some what of a pain when staring engine , manual choke , which is awssome when starting small engines was replaced with primer button - push it three time engine starts within three pulls , push primer bulb four times and get ready for some arm exercise , have no idea why in the world somebody would recommend a push primer button over a manual choke - has to be somebody that is not fimiliar with using small engines on regular bases, tech. data for changing oil seemed a little goofy - say's takes 64 oz. of oil , this is either a miss print or engine already had 44 oz. of oil in it , one thing I do like about this new engine is it's quieter - was really surprised though that replacement engine was not same as what was on splitter

This is an absolutely beautiful set however the stems were too short to install through our tile topped roman tub. The set is made in China and we were unable to find longer stems that would fit ( the larger faucet manufacturers sell longer stems at the local home improvement stores). Unfortunately our contractor did not attempt installation until after our 30 day return period had passed so this will be a total loss for us unless the seller will kindly accept an exchange or refund. Unless you are good with plumbing I would not recommend buying this type of product online!
Addendum: After emailing the seller they have kindly agreed to contact the manufacturer regarding longer stems or refund my money if none are available. They answered promply,requested more info and have been very kind to date. Great customer service so far. Will update
Update: due to the time expired my contractor had to install a different tub set. Lightinthebox has generously agreed to a refund even though my 30 day return had expired. Customer service has been incredible, prompt & courteous. I highly recommend this company!!

Pfister F-534-7PSS Parisa 1 or 3-Hole Kitchen Faucet, Stainless Steel Review

When I renovated my kitchen I made up my mind that I will spend $300+ for a faucet if I like it, as renovating in Manhattan was incredibly pricy. In the past I have had a job procuring consumer products for banks (ATMs, scanners, card readers etc) and my main concern was usability and sleek look. Ex. I should be able to hold a full 8 liter pot with both hands and still turn on the faucet with my elbow or whatever I can reach it with. This criteria eliminated most of the newer faucets as the "temporary" style seems to be a little lever on the right hand side, which is much harder to reach and requires for you to use your hand. This maybe ridiculous to most, but when I cook often my hands are too dirty to turn on the faucet (ex. just finished cutting chicken) and must be able to turn on the water with my arm or elbow. So it eliminated most of the right/left side operated units. I also liked the straight modern tube look, but was looking for a good sprayer feature which could not be delivered from a narrow sprayer. I only have a single sink and it was important that the faucet is not too big and overpowering (like many of the high priced units). I love straight lines but the faucet with the curve is more functional.

I have had this faucet over a year now, and I am so glad that I stuck with the functionality I wanted vs. going for the latest in-style look only. I believe that this faucet will be around a long time b. it is such a "smartly" designed piece.
