When I renovated my kitchen I made up my mind that I will spend $300+ for a faucet if I like it, as renovating in Manhattan was incredibly pricy. In the past I have had a job procuring consumer products for banks (ATMs, scanners, card readers etc) and my main concern was usability and sleek look. Ex. I should be able to hold a full 8 liter pot with both hands and still turn on the faucet with my elbow or whatever I can reach it with. This criteria eliminated most of the newer faucets as the "temporary" style seems to be a little lever on the right hand side, which is much harder to reach and requires for you to use your hand. This maybe ridiculous to most, but when I cook often my hands are too dirty to turn on the faucet (ex. just finished cutting chicken) and must be able to turn on the water with my arm or elbow. So it eliminated most of the right/left side operated units. I also liked the straight modern tube look, but was looking for a good sprayer feature which could not be delivered from a narrow sprayer. I only have a single sink and it was important that the faucet is not too big and overpowering (like many of the high priced units). I love straight lines but the faucet with the curve is more functional.

I have had this faucet over a year now, and I am so glad that I stuck with the functionality I wanted vs. going for the latest in-style look only. I believe that this faucet will be around a long time b. it is such a "smartly" designed piece.
