Abloy's High Security Lockable Thumbturn Deadbolt is a ANSI Grade 1 deadbolt that is the best product for most high security installs. Merging the security of a double deadbolt with convenience of a normal thumbturn deadbolt. The thumbturn on the inside can be locked to make it function like a normal double deadbolt (key to operate on either side) or unlocked to allow operating by hand.

If you have a need for high security locks, you can't go wrong with the protec2 locks. The protec2 locks are very solid and to date have not been picked or bumped. These locks have both an inside and outside key. The inside key makes it so that you can lock the thumbturn and then you can't open the lock from the inside or the outside without the key. This is a really nice feature for when we go on vacation as it allows us to lock the door from being opened on either side. The locks are Grade 8 hardened steel

I tend to agree, all manufactures that specify trim kit don't include the pressure balance or in this case the thermostatic valve. That's why the tittle states, "trim kit", which means the trim can be exchanged and the vavle remains.

Once I went thermostatic I would never go back, now if I can purchase the 1/2" or even 3/4" thermostatic valve for the same price I purcahsed this trim kit I'd be a happy camper.

Hi all,

I don't write reviews normally, but since there was little review activity on this expensive piece, I thought I would add my comments. Unit is packed well. Bullet shipping (the company Design Elements used to transport from the mid west) is horrible. Unit showed up sliding off pallet with broken framing, turns out the framing was to protect vanity top, so kudos to the shipping person at Design (although he or she should have strapped pallet). If you order, I would ask them to use another shipping company for the LTL freight. Second order involving Bullet, both were BAD experiences.

Mirror wood frame is black. Thought it would match unit exact, but after looking at pict on-line closely, it doesn't. But should work fine for us. Vanity top is lighter than pict, but is nice. Vanity base appears solid, darker than I though it would be, but again, I'm good with this. Couple of wood screws need to be tightened, nothing major (not from shipping, they went into wood at angle. But Design Elements, if you want to sell high end, spend the 10 minutes of Quality Control to do it right. Looks like Design used the right adhesives on bowls. Quartz top is very cool. Your friends will comment they love it:)

Bottom line? Can't touch it for the price. If you need something this big, it rocks.

Kohler K-9055 Salient 60" x 36" Enameled Cast Iron Shower Pan with Center Drain, White Review

We purchased the basalt. It is essentially grey and matches with almost any tile. We used variegated slate (grey, brown, blue, and green) and looks very nice.
The cast iron is very solid and if your floor is level, you basically just set the pan down. It will not move. You must be quite strong in order to install by yourself. Make sure to attach your drain before setting the pan down. Much easier than trying to access from the crawlspace or floor below.
The enamel is very resistant and the etched panels (for safety) work well to prevent slips.
We did a lot of research. While tile floors in the shower are great, the advantage to this is no leaks ever, very low maintenance, no grout to reseal, and a very low profile.
I recommend highly.

Philips 405503148 Cielo Pendant, White Review

Puts out a good amount of light. Note that it would not be sufficient to light an entire dining room without windows, etc. Ours is an open floor plan so their is plenty of ambient light with this fixture illuminating the table nicely. The LED's are fairly uniform in color (I notice things like that- if you don't then they would be perfect to you). Routing the power cable as shown in the picture (helical) is difficult to do with results as good as shown in the picture. I ran mine straight up one of the support wires and it looks better to my eye that way- it even comes set p to be wired that way, with the little O-rings all on one wire.
Adjusting the height is so easy- and a brilliant design feature. Kudos to whomever did that bit of design work!

While it does look great in our half bath, as the guy who installed it I like it for other reasons as well. It has a separate mounting plate that is easily attached to the wall. Then the light set fits over the plate and is secured with two decorative screws. It is a much faster and more secure method of mounting a great looking lighting fixture. I give five stars all around for a great design.
